Roadmap for Senior Management Job Switch

Normally I design profiles for senior management level. And I often begin my interactions with candidates by appreciating their impressive, impactful and compelling career journeys. I then ask about their next career alternative and the type of role they envision. To my surprise, I frequently receive a similar response for senior management job role: Besides, after years of rich and prolific career journey, they seek to associate themselves with an organization where work culture, environment, and people are valued. Salary is no longer an incentive. Instead, they look for opportunities to contribute strategically and be recognized by Sr. management for their recommendations and proposals, as they are bringing incredible values and pearls of wisdom to the table.

Through this blog, I aim to unravel obstacles which generally encountered by the senior management job candidates while they opt for better career alternatives.

Challenges in Leadership hiring

Today, we are living in the era of Algorithms. And Resumes are scanned by AI & ML Software as ATS software. It scans academics details, key skill set, behavioral skills, job roles, domain related keywords while distastes like colorful or designer CVs, blocks and overuse of unwanted keywords etc. The global data says 75% Cvs get rejected through ATS software.

At one end befitting talent is in scarce, on the other hand software doesn’t have feel for morale boosting effort, humane side of business or creation for value centric culture etc.
